Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Curation Team Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the collective success of TED’s curation team. They help create a good work environment, maintain morale, and serve as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization.

Responsibilities:

The Curation Team Coordinator is responsible for the execution of tasks that are central to the team’s success. The ideal candidate is an efficient and clear communicator who is detail-oriented, driven, with an ability to plan months in advance. They are an organized team-player with a curious mind for the world at large.

● Provide administrative support to TED’s Head of Curation at NYC headquarters and events

● Schedule internal and external meetings for Directors and Curators

● Act as team scribe, and assist in ensuring team meetings run seamlessly; act as liaison with other departments at TED to include close collaboration with CEO’s Executive Assistant leading up to and during conference

  • Submit monthly expense reports
  • Document Curation Team projects and content for quarterly allocations
  • Provide onsite support for events in TED’s NYC theater
  • Lead team culture, including planning and execution of in-person and remote events; birthday celebrations; team-building activities
  • Provide technological support to team members as needed

● Work with travel agent to coordinate curation members’ travel needs

● Willingness to contribute however possible to ensure overall effectiveness of position

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

● Skill Set needed: Project and time management, Google Docs, GCal, writing skills preferred

 

Additional Information

Salary range: $52,000 - $65,000

NYC OFFICE

The hired candidate is expected to work 1-2 days per week from our New York City office as part of our hybrid work model.

IN-OFFICE COVID PROTOCOL

Due to in-person meetings and occasional office requirements, proof of full vaccination will be required prior to acceptance of employment. 

REQUIRED TRAVEL

This position requires travel 2 times a year to and from TED Conference events in and outside of the US.
