TBC Capital is looking for Senior Portfolio Manager.
The Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing and managing portfolios within the company’s investment framework, in accordance with discretionary and non-discretionary mandates.
The role includes active involvement in developing the company’s investment framework, including the establishment and periodic updates of the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) frameworks.
The position is responsible for monitoring and rebalancing the performance of developed portfolios. In addition, the role actively contributes to improving investment processes and supporting strategic investment initiatives.
Job Description
- Develop optimal portfolios tailored to different client risk profiles and investment objectives;
- Develop strategic and tactical asset allocation views for portfolios;
- Stay continuously informed about macroeconomic and market trends;
- Monitor portfolio performance, manage risks, and ensure compliance with internal investment frameworks, regulations, and client requirements;
- Conduct periodic portfolio performance monitoring;
- Collaborate closely with related departments, including sales and trading teams, global research teams, and wealth management bankers;
- Communicate investment decisions, underlying rationale, and performance outcomes to brokers and, where necessary, directly to clients;
- Participate in discussions related to client investment portfolios and prepare investment materials when needed;
- Improve portfolio management processes and support digital transformation initiatives;
- Ensure full compliance with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, ESMA) and the company’s internal policies;
- Mentor and support junior portfolio managers and analysts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in portfolio management or related investment roles;
- In-depth knowledge of global financial markets and portfolio theory;
- Experience managing global equities, fixed-income instruments, and alternative investments;
- Experience managing portfolios for high-net-worth private and institutional clients is preferred;
- CFA certification or equivalent qualifications (e.g., CAIA, FRM) are preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Bloomberg, Morningstar, and portfolio analytics systems;
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis;
- Fluency in English and Georgian is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly explain investment concepts;
- Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to make independent decisions;
- Attention to detail;
- Leadership skills;
- Ability to manage complex projects.
