TBC Asset Management (AMC) is seeking a team member for the position of Investment Officer.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and executing investment opportunities. The Investment Officer will conduct comprehensive due diligence, perform in-depth financial analysis and modeling, and prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the Investment Committee (IC).
The role also involves active participation in portfolio monitoring, asset allocation support, and ensuring compliance with internal investment policies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the performance of AMC-managed investment funds and to be actively involved in the development of Georgia’s capital markets.
Job Description
- Originate and develop an investment pipeline of potential transactions;
- Conduct detailed financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on prospective investees;
- Build and maintain financial models, perform valuation analysis, and assess investment risks and expected returns;
- Prepare high-quality investment memorandums, presentations, and supporting documentation for submission to the Investment Committee;
- Support transaction structuring and participate in discussions related to key investment terms;
- Monitor and track financial and operational performance of portfolio investments, including loan repayments, revenue targets, and covenant compliance;
- Ensure investees comply with investment policies, fund documentation, and internal guidelines;
- Contribute to portfolio management processes, including reporting, performance analysis, and portfolio rebalancing support;
- Provide analytical and modeling support to the Asset Manager and senior investment team members.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in asset management supported by solid analytical and financial skills. The successful candidate should possess strong financial analysis and valuation skills, logical thinking, and the ability to evaluate investment opportunities in a structured and practical manner.
Specific qualifications include:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in corporate or investment banking, capital markets, advisory, private equity, or asset management;
- Strong corporate finance analysis and presentation skills;
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills;
- Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders and clients;
- Intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking capability;
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
- High levels of ethics, integrity, and professional judgment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- High proficiency in English language (both written and spoken);
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. CFA certification or progress toward CFA designation will be considered a significant advantage.
