TBC Capital’s team is seeking for a team member to join as a Back-Office Manager.

Job Description

  • Reconcile daily financial securities positions between back office and custodian accounts and cash positions between back office, custodian accounts and accounting records
  • Monitor daily trades reconciliation in the back office and investigate any discrepancies between client trades and custodian trade records or any other issues affecting the client accounts
  • Complete investigations of trade discrepancies or settlement delays;
  • Daily process audit, data validation and control sign off;
  • Identify and address processes gaps;
  • Handle reconciliation reports, and perform risk and regulatory reporting and controls;
  • Notify front desk timely of relevant corporate actions;
  • Monitor and record corporate action notifications from custodians, make sure the corporate actions are accurately processed in back office and timely reflected on client accounts
  • Perform calculation and transfer agency duties, make sure the relevant calculations are done correctly and in a timely manner and are communicated with issuers, monitor that funds are distributed to investors on time
  • Process all work daily to maintain excellent service levels, work in service queues to support Front-Office functions as needed;
  • Review outgoing and incoming account transfers and close open positions or request transfer extensions;
  • Make sure that all recordings in back-office system are up-to-date and verified against custodian recordings.

Qualifications

  • Prior financial services experience (min. 2 year) highly desirable: bank (treasury), brokerage operations, trade settlements, or other;
  • University degree in Business Administration or similar is preferred;
  • Demonstrated competency with common technology and technical concepts;
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and solutions orientated;
  • Effective time management and ability prioritize tasks;
  • A deep belief in team success, collaboration, and a willingness to adapt to continuous change;
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
