TBC Bank is launching new business line via Asset Management Company (AMC) to meet growing demand on alternative investment products altered by decreasing supply of USD nominated investment products.

 

TBC’s AMC is seeking for a team member on a Risk Officer position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following risk disciplines (including, but not limited to): risk strategy and risk identification, investment risk, credit risk, operational risk, market risk, etc. This role will provide risk management support to the asset manager in identification, assessment, measurement, reporting and control of risks. She/he will also be responsible for management of the risk reporting, risk framework implementation, and other risk related projects. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain extensive experience and be active participant in Georgia’s capital markets development.

Job Description

  • Manage risks, improve risk management framework, manage and monitor credit risk, investment risk, market risk, operational risk and other risks;
  • Design, build, implement and improve risk management framework including risk policies & procedures, risk appetite & limits, risk methodologies, key risk indicators, stress-tests;
  • Manage & produce all risk management documentation and reporting, communicate with all internal & external stakeholders;
  • Regularly research market trends and changes that may impact risk management;
  • Develop strategies to minimize risk factors and losses;
  • Work on risk aspects of new fund introduction, from idea generation to registration, selling and execution of investment strategy;
  • Identify, assess, monitor and make timely and measured judgments on all current and potential future risks, reflect them in the risk management framework.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a strong interest in asset management underpinned by solid quantitative and analytical skills.  Candidate should be able to think creatively about a range of strategic issues and have an exceptional grasp on valuation, finance, and business strategy.  Specific qualifications include:

 

  • Working experience in reputable commercial and/or investment bank in Risk Management Unit, advisory and/or private equity firm is an advantage;
  • Practical knowledge of commercial lending origination, portfolio management strategies, capital markets including but not limited to money markets, fixed income and interest rate markets and associated risks
  • High levels of ethics, integrity and judgment;
  • Strong corporate analysis and presentation skills;
  • Strong intellectual curiosity;
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with the capacity to work independently and in small teams;
  • Good command of English and Russian Languages;
  • BBA degree. CFA/FRM will be significant advantage.
