Job Description
- Coordinates and leads the EHS&S organization of TAPI Hungary at the Debrecen and Sajóbábony sites.
- Ensures global policy, procedures, processes, standards, work processes, and compliance harmonization with local EHS&S laws & regulations.
- Provide guidance to site managers and employees, conduct internal and support external audits, to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Design corrective and preventative action plans. Identify EHS risks and define proactive mitigations. Ensure that investments and changes to processes, equipment, and systems comply with EHS‑by‑design principles, EHS requirements, and cGMP.
- Develop trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies, local community and external suppliers to promote compliance and social responsibility, in TAPI’s business interest.
- In collaboration with the site leadership team, create, implement, monitor and update the site EHS plan. Meet EHS&S work plan objectives.
- Create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude.
- Develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to managers and employees of the site.
- Lead continuous improvement in EHS using OPEX principles and visible-felt leadership to achieve 'target zero' goals and to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.
- Develop and retain qualified EHS professionals to provide EHS services to the site. Implement managerial practices to ensure the EHS team’s high performance, modeling TAPI’s values and leadership framework.
- Serve as an influential member of the site leadership team, who impacts decision making and takes an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across site functions.
- Bring global best practices into the site and actively share site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of EHS globally.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years work experiences in EHS, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven leadership experience in managing EHS teams and cross-functional collaborations.
- University/college degree in the field of engineer of environmental protection or work safety.
- Knowledge of EHS&S’s network of legal, regulatory, authority relations.
- Certified auditor for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
- High proficiency with spoken and written English.
- Strategic thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and negotiating skills.
- A team player with the capability to influence stakeholders while working in cross functional teams.
