We would like to invite applications for the role of Tax and Accounting Senior Specialist. In this pivotal position, you will report directly to the Site Finance Lead and play an integral role in supporting the financial operations of our Hungarian sites. Job Description
- Managing the company’s accounting in accordance with applicable legislation and corporate policies
- Review and processing of accounting documents, ensuring proper booking and control of financial flows
- Asset management and record-keeping
- Collaboration with tax advisors and the tax department on tax return reviews
- Preparing documents for audits, working with auditors, and addressing audit findings
- Ensuring accounting processes comply with local and international standards (US GAAP, IFRS)
- Monitoring changes in accounting and tax legislation and implementing them in company processes
- Leading, coordinating, and providing methodological guidance to the accounting team
- Cooperation with the Financial Shared Services Center (FSSS) and other departments within the group
- Communication with financial authorities, and external advisors
- Managing treasury operations, including cash handling, foreign exchange operations, and capital management
- Partnering with top management on financial decisions and proposing process optimizations
- Perform treasury operations involving cash funds, foreign exchange, debt, and capital management
Qualifications
- A higher education degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or related fields (e.g. tax, treasury)
- Excellent knowledge of local accounting principles
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Hungarian
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently, with a high degree of flexibility and resilience
