Company Description

Media streaming company looking for a Sale Engineer with telcom and networking experience.
This position will involve travel and can work remotely communicating by video conferencing.

Knocking down technical barriers to the adoption of our client’s products is the main responsibility of a Sales Engineer. This includes being the technical part of the sales team focused on presenting our client’s technology to help solve customers’ critical business problems. In order to do this successfully an understanding of a few key technologies is important, namely, networking, streaming media and distributed systems

Job Description

Assist our account executives in technically qualifying new sales opportunities along with addressing any technical questions that come up during the sales cycle

Support the technical needs of existing customers including discovering additional use cases for Client’s technology

Work closely with the product management and engineering team to align customer requirements to future versions and products

Have a deep understanding of Client’s technology and a willingness to learn new technologies when needed

Qualifications

Experience with performing customer facing activities as part of pre-sales team or professional services team 

1 to 3+ years of experience in a technical customer facing role with a strong track record of positioning and selling enterprise or software-as-a-service solutions

Demonstrable ability to create and give technical presentations and demo

Excellent communicator who has experience presenting to a wide range of audiences

Excellent listener and strong problem solving and analytical ability

Experience working in a fast-paced and fluid environment 

Ability to understand, articulate, recommend, and implement solutions that meet customer needs through self-investigation, research, and troubleshooting. 

  • Experience in Middleware and Software architectures, integration; Experience in AV and VOIP
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, including routing protocols and SIP in VC Space
  • Some experience in technical support and troubleshooting
  • Experience in technical support and troubleshooting – A PLUS
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent – Advanced degree – A PLUS
