Talent2Africa is seeking for its partner, an independent global development consulting firm dedicated to promoting evidence-based solutions to address development challenges in Africa, a Project Manager: Sustainable Development Finance and Capital Markets based in Senegal.

The company is hiring a Project Manager to lead projects in the areas of sustainable development finance and capital markets. The ideal candidate will have experience managing cross-sectoral projects and engaging with a range of stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving project preparation and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering partnerships with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement and monitor projects and programs, including with a focus on sustainable development finance and capital markets.
  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including the private sector, government, and community groups, to foster collaboration and achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate activities encompassing advisory, research, advocacy and capacity building in close collaboration with other departments
  • Coordinate the preparation of project documents, including concept notes, progress and final reports,
  • Formulate project schedule and timeline and monitor implementation to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and performance indicators.
  • Managing grant applications and requests for proposals.
  • Help build and manage project team.
  • Coordinate the allocation of project resources
  • Lead quality assurance
  • Present to management and stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
  • Evaluate and assess project results, outcomes and impact

Qualifications

Profile

  • Master’s degree in project management, business administration, finance, sustainable development, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing projects, particularly in sustainable development finance, corporate finance or energy transition.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets desirable
  • Strong research, advocacy, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills.
  • Fluency in French and English.
