Job Purpose

The Deputy is expected to plan and schedule the daily tasks in a way that reflects the areas of responsibility. Thereby planning for operational, tactical as well as strategic tasks; with the goal of driving profitable performance of XYZ Senegal through engaged and motivated employees. In addition, the Deputy is expected to display leadership by excellence. The Deputy is furthermore, expected to let the job description direct the efforts, while being fully accountable for prioritizing efforts according to the dynamic demands of the role. This means adjusting and prioritizing to ensure the profitability, sustainability, and health of the organization, reporting to the MD and as required to the Local Board of Directors, as outlined in the job description agreed between the holder of the position and XYZ.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for defining XYZ Senegal’s Strategy, Performance & Business Development across all business units - Commercial, Customer Service, Operation - together with the MD and Local Board: -Defining a local strategy and supporting business units in translating this to local contexts -Leading staff strategy, development, and operations jointly with HR across the business units

2. Maintaining and increasing business relationships

3. Driving and supporting Business Development activities across business units

4. In charge of driving business unit performance through scheduled monthly and quarterly performance reviews with direct reporting to the MD

5. XYZSales Budget – Prepare sales/Volume budgets - Tight cost control – Increase local income

6. XYZ Sales – be directly involved in growing volumes & revenue through the Sales/Development Director

7. Ensure Customer Service & Commercial are constantly improving through co-operation Sensitivity: Internal

8. Bridging Commercial & Customer Service operational opportunities with pragmatic legal and regulatory solutions

9. Advising on the relevant legal, tax, and regulatory boundaries that XYZ Senegal operates within

10. Supporting HR with standard matters that relate to attracting, retaining, and developing employees

11. Leading and developing employees: displaying visible leadership and developing new leaders with support from HR

12. Driving employee engagement: focusing on creating and motivating work environment with HR

13. Supporting the CFO with strategy, development of credit processes across departments and clients

14. Operational credit risk management based on industry knowledge, systems and tools, and integration of credit as a competitive function jointly with the CFO and MD

15. High focus on debtor balance and eliminate write-offs

16. Living XYZ values: being an ambassador of XYZ values in all engagements

17. Leadership by Excellence across all areas of XYZ Senegal, internally and externally
