Job Description
In TAL’s Group Life & Retirement business, our Partnerships team plays a vital role in helping millions of Australians access life insurance through their superannuation. As Head of Partnership, you will lead a key partner relationship with purpose, care and commercial insight, helping strengthen long-term partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes for members and their families. This is a senior opportunity to contribute to TAL’s mission of supporting people when they need us most, by championing exceptional partner experiences and ensuring our shared commitment to service, trust and protection is brought to life every day.
(There is the potential for this role to be based in Sydney or Melbourne)
In this role you will:
- Build trusted executive partnerships that strengthen alignment, advocacy and long-term value for TAL and its partners.
- Shape strategic insurance solutions that support partner priorities, member outcomes and TAL’s broader business objectives.
- Influence senior stakeholders with clear, commercially grounded advice on complex partnership, service and risk matters.
- Drive service excellence by ensuring commitments are met and partner and member experiences continue to improve.
- Deliver sustainable commercial outcomes through disciplined account planning, growth, retention and profitability focus.
- Lead engaged, capable teams that role model TAL’s values and deliver meaningful outcomes for partners and members.
Qualifications
- Strong experience building partnerships with superannuation funds, ideally with exposure to Group Life insurance.
- Understand the superannuation and life insurance landscape, including key industry trends, regulatory considerations and legislative change.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders through strong negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills.
- Translate complex commercial, legal and operational matters into clear insights that support good decisions and outcomes.
- Bring an accountable, collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the ability to navigate competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Use commercial judgement and curiosity to identify opportunities that create value for partners, members and TAL.
