Job Description
Join TAL in a role that helps safeguard the integrity of our Group Life & Retirement business and supports our purpose of protecting what matters most. Working closely with the Risk & Compliance Senior Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening our risk management framework, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring we meet our obligations with confidence. This role is meaningful in enabling better decisions, improving resilience, and helping TAL deliver trusted outcomes for our customers, partners, and communities.
In this role you will:
- Deliver timely, pragmatic risk and compliance advice that enables confident, commercially sound decision‑making.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess and manage risks, ensuring strong control and regulatory alignment.
- Proactively identify and manage incidents and breaches, strengthening risk visibility and response effectiveness.
- Analyse risk impacts and support robust remediation strategies that improve outcomes and prevent recurrence.
- Produce insightful risk reporting that drives transparency, accountability and informed decision‑making.
- Strengthen a positive risk culture by building trusted relationships and promoting awareness across Group Life & Retirement.
Qualifications
- Experience in risk management and/or compliance, ideally within financial services or life insurance.
- Brings hands-on experience in control assurance and managing incidents through to resolution.
- Understands key regulatory frameworks (e.g. Corporations Act, SIS Act, LICOP) and their practical application.
- Builds strong, trusted relationships and collaborates effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Applies sound analytical thinking to interpret data, assess risk and identify meaningful insights.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, translating technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand guidance.
