Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Manager to join TAL's  Advice Marketing team, supporting our Retail business and the advisers who bring our Life Insurance products to the market.

You’ll work alongside our sales crew to create meaningful campaigns, shape clear messaging, and help position TAL as a go-to partner for advisers and licensees. Your job will be hands-on—planning and rolling out marketing campaigns, organising events, managing channels and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

If you’re someone who likes getting stuck in, enjoys working with people, and is keen to make a genuine difference in how we connect with advisers and licensees, this could be the perfect fit. You’ll make sure our marketing efforts hit the mark and help show why TAL stands out as the partner of choice. We value straight talk, practical ideas and a collaborative way of working—so if that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a fixed term contract role, with an end date of January 2027.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of Retail Marketing campaigns and communications aligned with sales and distribution strategies.
  • Plan and manage campaigns across product, pricing, regulatory, and education initiatives.
  • Brief internal and external teams on campaign requirements, including media, collateral, product updates, and events.
  • Create clear frameworks for campaigns covering objectives, target audience, offers, communication and channel strategies, testing, volumes, and budgets.
  • Monitor and report campaign outcomes, including results against forecasts, test findings, sales insights, and recommendations.
  • Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the annual budget and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Strong marketing experience, ideally in business-to-business environments
  • Skilled in managing external agencies and navigating complex stakeholder networks
  • Excellent project and process management skills, with the ability to deliver on time and adapt to changing priorities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; able to create clear, compelling reports, papers, and presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience drawing insights from data and mapping business processes
