Job Description

This role is accountable for servicing a panel of supporting Advisers/Practices as well as identifying new adviser opportunities. The activity required is predominantly phone based and leverages online technology to grow production and develop the Advisers/Practices into consistent supporters of TAL. Face to face meetings are required from time to time. Some interstate travel may be required to attend conferences.

In this role you will: 

Sales Activity

  • Manage key adviser relationships through a panel of advisers
  • Attend industry and dealership events to represent TAL and identify IFA opportunities.
  • Offer high level Product and Service support promoting the TAL Value Proposition and how can we add value and partner with adviser businesses.
  • Develop and execute 90 day plan of targeted activity as agreed with the Regional Manager
  • Conduct regular ‘Adviser Staff Training’ sessions
  • Work on relevant and approved Marketing Campaigns to Advisers/Practices
  • Update ARM with all adviser focussed activity and meet required activity targets

Office Level Activity

  • Work with Adviser Admin in the handover of new Advisers/Practices
  • Record any Adviser expenditure on ARM
  • Attend Professional Development Days as required by Regional Manager / Licencee team
  • Attend, host and present at TAL Risk Academy events as required
  • Complete all post PD Day documentation on ARM
  • Ensure all expenses are managed in line with soft dollar requirements and TAL’s expense standards
  • Accumulate and register 40 CE Points per TAL Financial Year
  • Attend and contribute to all State Team Meetings
  • Maintain a conversational level of knowledge on competitors’ products and offerings
  • Provide relevant feedback on competitor activities, products and initiatives to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

  • Accumulate and register 40 CE Points per TAL Financial Year
  • Detailed knowledge of Insurance Ownership and Superlink structures
  • Broad understanding  of the Insurance market and regulators that impact it including ASIC, APRA, FSC and FASEA
  • Broad knowledge of all legislation and regulations applicable to the sale of life insurance and financial services products
  • Minimum RG146
  • Presentation skills desired
  • Demonstrable experience in a sales role with strong results with a minimum of  two years’ experience
  • Track record of building strong relationships in extremely short timeframes.
  • Degree Qualified or working towards a Graduate Diploma or other related Degree would be highly regarded
  • Working knowledge of Advice Practices.
