Job Description

At TAL, Product Managers play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering market-leading product propositions. With a focus on problem-solving, collaboration, and driving change, this role is key to optimising our products and supporting business growth. We're looking for a resilient and detail-oriented leader to help bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development projects to enhance and maintain TAL’s product offerings, driving business growth and meeting customer and partner needs.
  • Own change management processes, from tactical to strategic initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and compliance.
  • Provide expertise across cross-functional teams, including pricing, legal, risk, and external stakeholders, for new product development.
  • Take full responsibility for product acquisition governance, developing specifications and IT requirements.
  • Support day-to-day product and technical matters, including claims management and operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Life insurance expert with in-depth knowledge of Australian lump sum and disability products, as well as the distribution, regulatory, and legislative landscape. Product management experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in crafting balanced solutions to complex problems, considering both customer and commercial impacts.
  • Strong understanding of product definitions, their impact, and the ability to drive sustainable change.
  • Adaptable and able to manage change as business priorities evolve.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain influential relationships with diverse stakeholders.

You’re always accountable for your actions. You never give up. You strive to find the best outcomes for customers and partners. And you value working together to find the best solutions for problems.

As part of the recruitment process, there are a number of checks which may be conducted to demonstrate your eligibility for a role at TAL including Criminal History, Bankruptcy, Entitlement to Work, Regulatory and Reference Checks.
