Job Description

The Senior Analyst, IT Control Assurance role, will play a key part of enabling effective risk management practices across TAL by executing and embedding control assurance and testing activities across TAL. You will work in a varied capacity across control assurance activities including a focus on IT control testing.

This role will play a key role in the ongoing enhancement of control assurance capabilities across TAL. You will be
responsible for supporting the Enterprise Risk and Assurance team to embed the control assurance framework and standards. You will be responsible for executing control assurance activities in a timely and effective manner that meets the requirements of TAL’s Control Assurance Program. You will be responsible for sharing the outcomes of control assurance and providing recommendations to the business to rectify identified issues or areas for further improvement. Additionally, you will work with assurance functions across the Three Lines of Accountability to optimise assurance activities to ensure the effectiveness of the control environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute control assurance activities and reviews in accordance with the Controls Assurance program at TAL including IT control testing.
  • Supporting the development of assurance capability and skillset across the broader TAL risk community.
  • Independently reviewing and challenging the rigour of Line 1 assurance activities.
  • Work closely and maintain effective communication with a wide range of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to constructively challenge stakeholders to determine the right outcome
  • Conduct targeted assurance reviews or risk assessments.
  • Preparing and developing assurance outcomes and reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in risk and compliance, preferably in the financial services industry and with a focus on control assurance activities.
  • CISA or other equivalent certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to deal with and meet constant and short deadlines
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
