Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct timely reviews and provide feedback on individual underwriting applications and claims related to medical factors.
- Offer efficient, evidence-based recommendations concerning medical information or the need to seek medical information, considering customer experience, regulatory compliance, and business requirements.
- Support liaison with treating parties and reinsurers on specific cases when required.
- Represent the Medical Team in business-as-usual engagements with assigned business units
- Provide insights and data on health-related factors observed during medical reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Engage effectively with TAL's Chief Medical Officer on complex medical matters and, when necessary, consult with external medical specialists.
- Support the review and development of medical definitions, guidelines, and training as needed.
- Analyse medical data to support pricing assumptions when required.
Please note, this is a permanent role requiring full time availability.
Qualifications
- A medical degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills, especially the ability to make well-reasoned and evidence-based choices in a timely manner.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with team goals.
- Ability to adapt to changes and operate with agility. Commitment to continuous improvement in operational processes.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences and strong influencing skills to gain the support and commitment of others.
You’re always accountable for your actions. You never give up. You strive to find the best outcomes for customers and partners. And you value working together to find the best solutions for problems.
