Job Description

As Sr. CFT, you will assist and work closely with the site's engineers (SMEs) in carrying out critical planned maintenance tasks – primarily on our medium and high voltage systems.

You will set the standard for how our medium and high voltage equipment is operated and be responsible for everything from developing switching procedures and work permits to performing maintenance tasks, which are carried out both internally and in collaboration with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance and inspections of medium and high voltage equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical installations.
  • Collaborate with the site's Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical systems and upgrades.
  • Act as a culture bearer, ensuring that a 'critical mindset' and 'safety' are paramount for all your colleagues.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance protocols.
  • Review service reports.
  • Participate in on-call duty to provide 24/7 support for incidents outside normal working hours.
  • Work systematically in our maintenance system.
  • Coordinate suppliers in close collaboration with the site's Electrical Engineer and CMMS SME.
  • Assist in creating, executing, and reviewing procedures for the safe performance of maintenance tasks.
  • Coach and lead your colleagues in operational excellence, critical thinking, and medium and high voltage equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical problems, escalate and ensure resolution of issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with medium and high voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards and safety practices (national and international).
  • Documented experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Switchgear, Transformers, Breakers, and Relays.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under operational pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using electrical test and diagnostic tools.
  • Certifications related to medium and high voltage systems are a plus.
