Job Description

The EHS Owner’s Representative is an individual appointed or selected by T5 Development to represent their interests and concerns in matters related to jobsite EHS Aspects. Their primary role is to act as a bridge between the workforce and management, ensuring that safety standards are upheld and that potential hazards are addressed promptly.

The EHS Owner’s Representative will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety at the jobsite. They conduct regular safety inspections, provide feedback on safety policies, and facilitate training sessions to educate employees about safe work practices. The EHS Owner’s Representative will collaborate with management in jobsite incidents to investigate the causes and implement preventive measures. Their involvement helps in adhering to regulatory standards, building trust, and promoting open communication about safety concerns within the jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure the workplace is safe from hazards, reducing the risk of accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure that the organization adheres to local, state, and national safety regulations. Non-compliance will result in severe penalties, legal consequences, and company reputation damage.
  • Accidents and injuries can result in high medical costs, compensation claims, and increased insurance premiums. A proactive approach to safety, led by the EHS Owner’s Representative, can prevent these unforeseen expenses, making it a financially sound investment.
  • Facilitate a strong safety culture that demonstrates to employees that their well-being is a priority.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will seek to improve the jobsite safety standards. The organization is always at the forefront of best safety practices by continuously assessing and revising safety protocols and training.
  • With their specialized knowledge, the EHS Owner’s Representative will provide valuable insights during decision-making processes. Whether introducing new machinery, altering work processes, or renovating workplace infrastructure, their input ensures that safety is never compromised.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will be key in creating, updating, and implementing emergency response plans.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure the jobsite reflects well on the company’s values, operational efficiency, and overall reputation.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will act as a bridge between the workforce and T5D on safety-related concerns.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will conduct regular safety inspections within the workplace.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure all incidents and investigations are communicated and documented in the designated timeframes within the policies and procedures.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure all compliance and continuous educational activities are made available and completed by all employees at the jobsite.
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will give feedback and actionable suggestions to T5CS EHS Management
  • The EHS Owner’s Representative will ensure the EHS Dashboard is accurate and has usable information to make solid management decisions when needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE

  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related field may be preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in a safety or data center field
  • Registration as a Certified Safety Professional, similar forms of licensure as a safety officer or IH certified is preferred

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS guidelines and practices
  • Computer applications including document, presentation, spreadsheet, and d, database programs.

  • Using strong oral and written communication techniques for the interpersonal communications required to manage sensitive safety and investigative matters.
  • Collect data from a variety of sources; organize, plan, and present recommendations to management staff and operations personnel.
  • Research alternative courses of action beyond prescribed guidelines.
  • Determine correct or efficient courses of action.
  • Develop management recommendations and prepare backup material to substantiate any requests for changes in procedures.
  • Implement changes in policies and procedures.
  • Foresee trouble spots in a proposal, project, or program.
  • Recognize hazardous conditions, work methods, or equipment and then implement or recommend corrective action.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency through respectful, inclusive work habits and through the valuing and welcoming of cultural differences in all position responsibilities.
  • Prepare budget estimates, maintain records, and prepare reports.
  • Must be available for travel if required.
