Job Description

Our international team, Application Operations, holds technical responsibility for the applications and systems integral to operating the entire German Radio Access Network (RAN) associated with Best Mobile. 
As an Application and System Manager, you will oversee designated IT applications or systems and provide support to business departments and key users on specific topics related to these applications/systems. Join our project and play an active role in shaping the future of mass data analysis systems. You will be responsible for the modernization, expansion, and enhancement of our trace system, which is crucial for analyzing issues and anomalies within the Radio Access Network..

Tasks description

  • As our expert, you will oversee the successful migration of a massdata analytic system to the T-CaaS@BM4X cloud environment.
  • Your primary responsibility will be managing the production environment, which has a significant impact on our ability to analyze the quality of our RAN (Radio Access Network).
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering team and represent the customer perspective (Application Operations) with your expertise in interactions with suppliers.
  • Oversee and enhance existing automation solutions to optimize operational efficiency. (e.g. Python, Ansible, Shell-Scripting)
  • Provide support and facilitation during the implementation phase of T-CaaS@BM4X, a cloud solution offered by Deutsche Telekom.
  • Lead activities related to Life Cycle Management (LCM), including supporting the introduction and rollout of new functionalities, releases, and fixes.
  • Operate the an solutions during the RUN phase as part of Application Operations.
  • Conduct performance analyses and tuning, as well as error analyses and troubleshooting, including providing technical support.
  • Perform troubleshooting in a 2nd Line role in accordance with ITIL V3 standards, addressing incidents, problems, and changes.

Qualifications

Skills requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in implementing and operating applications and systems on cloud and bare-metal platforms.
  • Advanced cloud expertise, including proficiency in M-CICD, pipelines, network policies, monitoring systems, Kubernetes (K8S) troubleshooting within one's own namespace, and FluxCD.
  • Basic understanding of Zero Trust Network (ZTN) requirements and associated technologies.
  • Ideally, foundational knowledge of Automation Core Services for operating and monitoring T-CaaS applications.
  • Solid Linux knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the Incident, Problem, and Change management processes as per ITILv3 standards.
  • Background in introducing IT systems and applications, including PSA, SDSK, TasteOS, and firewall releases.
