Job Description
M.A.R.S. is a cloud-based historization solution from T-Systems that helps global customers migrate their legacy SAP systems into modern, scalable environments. Our teams work with multinational clients to design, implement, and optimize their IT landscapes across multiple regions and business units. By joining M.A.R.S., you will be part of a globally distributed team driving innovation in cloud transformation projects. We are a globaly distributed team operating from various timezones (core in Europe). We migrate old SAP systems of our customers into our cloud solution.
General role description
- Implementation of projects according to PMI methodology in accordance with Group specifications.
- Progress and cost monitoring as well as provision of reports.
- Ensures that quality inspections are carried out on schedule and in accordance with procedure.
- Management of interdisciplinary teams from different departments.
- Contact person for our customers and ensuring communication with the customer.
- Responsibility for the seamless integration of the customer solution with T-Systems Services.
- Close collaboration with the account team for successful customer collaboration.
- Provides effective leadership to the project team and takes appropriate action when team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
- Joint development of innovative solutions with our customers.
- Continuous improvement of agile and classic project management processes.
- Support of the pre-sales teams in the preparation of quotes.
Project Responsibilities
- Management of (complex) IT projects for existing and new customers from A-Z.
- Take full responsibility for defining, approaching, facilitating, and satisfactorily completing the projects (usually with direct business impact and fixed deadlines).
- Project responsibility in terms of time, costs and quality of the deliverables.
- Eligibility of MA for your own Miles+ projects.
- Product demo of the M.A.R.S. products must be able to be carried out.
Team and Stakeholder Management
- Management and coordination of interdisciplinary teams with diverse professional backgrounds.
- Ensuring clear, transparent communication with all stakeholders – both within the client company and at T-Systems.
- Consideration of the different requirements and inputs from areas such as legal, quality, network, operations or finance in project planning and implementation.
- Leading the project team with a focus on goal achievement, motivation and timely action in the event of deviations.
- Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a common understanding among all stakeholders to efficiently achieve project goals.
- Risk management & dealing with unpredictable variables
- Identification and assessment of risks involving all stakeholders, including internal departments (Legal, Quality, Network, Operations...) and clients.
- Management of unpredictable variables that were not foreseen in the original project plan, such as short-term changes, external dependencies, regulatory requirements, or technical challenges.
- Develop and implement strategic measures to minimize the impact on time, cost and quality.
- Continuous monitoring and transparent communication of risks and unforeseen variables throughout the course of the project.
Continuous Improvement / Innovation
- Development of innovative solutions with customers
- Improvement of agile and classic project management processes
- Support of the pre-sales teams in the preparation of quotations
- Document and implement lessons learned after project completion
Financial responsibilities
- Ensuring the allocation of expenses in the project
- Information to Administration

- Checking the bookings for the respective projects for which they are responsible (manual)
- Management of your own project budgets
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including PMI/PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall.
- Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions and digital transformation projects.
- Ability to prepare project reports, monitor progress, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP environments and SAP transformation projects.
- Experience with cloud migration projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications.
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities and preparing customer proposals.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and workshops.
- Background in enterprise IT infrastructure or managed services.
