Senior Data Architect (m/f/d)
- Full-time
Company Description
T‑Systems is part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, with around 30.000 employees worldwide. We create technology with purpose to generate a positive impact on society. We are looking for curious talent, eager to learn, take on challenges, and contribute ideas that transform our customers’ experience.
We trust people: we offer autonomy, continuous support, and a collaborative environment where you can grow without limits. We are one global team, guided by respect, integrity, and a passion for doing better every day.
Job Description
We are Digital Business (DBIZ), a core part of Deutsche Telekom Technik (DTT), the entity responsible for planning, building, and operating Germany’s wireless and optical networks.
As a catalyst for digital transformation, DBIZ bridges the gap between innovative ideas and technical reality. We provide end-to-end digitization solutions—from initial solution design to full-scale software implementation. Our mission is to drive cultural change and generate synergies across all specialist areas through a consistent, holistic view of the DTT landscape.
To support this mission, we are expanding our Technik Value Stream teams. These teams are the engine of our data-driven strategy, carrying end-to-end responsibility for the data lifecycle on the ODE. Key focus areas include:
- Data Ingestion: Seamlessly bringing diverse data sources into the ODE.
- Product Development: Building and refining high-impact data products that empower DTT.
- Operations: Ensuring the reliability and excellence of our data products in a live environment.
Task Description:
You will work on data-projects that optimize the planning, building, and operation of our fixed-line and mobile networks. Working within a cross-functional team, with taks in following areas
- Architectural Design & Strategy: Analyze and assess complex requirements to create end-to-end technical designs and architectures. You will lead the product/service development from initial concept to launch across the entire lifecycle.
- GCP Infrastructure Management: Efficiently deploy and manage robust infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes designing network architectures (Shared VPC, Hub-and-Spoke), configuring DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, and core services like GKE, Cloud Run, and Compute Engine.
- Automation & CI/CD: Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform. Integrate and optimize GitLab Magenta CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and configuration across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.
- Data Engineering & AI: Design data processing workflows using Hadoop/Hive and PySpark, orchestrated via Airflow/Composer. Handle data integration from various sources (CDI, TARDIS APIs, GCS) and implement AI solutions using Google Vertex AI.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce rigorous security measures, including IAM policies, Secret Manager, firewalls, and Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP).
- Consultancy & Analysis: Act as a strategic consultant for Product Owners and stakeholders. Conduct cost-benefit breakdowns and ensure all technical solutions align with business goals through comprehensive documentation.
