Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Network Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our state-of-the-art data center network infrastructure.

  • Manage and maintain datacenter infrastructure with a focus on high availability.

  • Design and implement scalable and resilient network architectures.

  • Capacity management and infrastructure growth planning.

  • Proactive monitoring of performance and service availability.

  • Conduct vulnerability analysis and enforce security policies.

  • Develop automation scripts in Python to streamline operations.

  • Build monitoring and automated reporting tools.

  • Troubleshoot advanced routing and switching issues (OSPF, BGP, multiprotocol).

  • Manage virtualized and SDN solutions (VMware NSX-T, vCloud, VXLAN, Huawei SDN).

  • Lead or support migration and infrastructure upgrade projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3 years in network engineering and datacenter management.

  • Certifications (mandatory): Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching)

  • Additional certifications: CCNP (Enterprise or Data Center), CCNA Security are a plus.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco, Huawei, VMware, and SDN technologies.

  • Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs).

  • Strong monitoring and troubleshooting skills (SNMP, Syslog, Netflow, WireShark, traffic analysis).

  • Proven track record in managing critical incidents and technical projects.

Languages

  • Spanish: Native or advanced

  • Catalan: Conversational or higher (One of our most important clients operates in the Catalan territory (Catalonia)." 

  • English: Minimum B2 (technical communication) - We are constantly in contact with international teams and companies
