Join Group Technology’s Network Automation unit, where you'll be at the forefront of data, AI, and automation strategy and architecture. As the Lead Architect for Network Data & AI, you'll work closely with senior management, top experts, and key stakeholders across the group, including technology units in the DE- and EU-segments. Your mission will be to design, define, and establish the architecture and roadmap for advanced AI and data-driven solutions for Deutsche Telekom’s telecommunications networks. This role requires tight alignment with strategic objectives and guiding execution in a high-performing approach to drive innovation. You'll be part of the team working on reimagining the network through cutting-edge technologies and AI to future-proof sustainable and cost-efficient telco operations, bringing Deutsche Telekom to the next level of applied innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You are defining the strategic network-related Data & AI architecture and related roadmap together within our Data Strategy team.
  • You will align AI initiatives in focus with respective governance bodies and prime stakeholders across Deutsche Telekom’s technology units on both group and national levels.
  • You represent DT on international conferences and AI initiatives discussing leading edge approaches with important industry players and research communities.
  • You are working within a cross-functional team of solution architects, Data and AI experts.
  • You are helping to identify future innovation topics and AI use cases to transform network and service lifecycles with clear contributions to improved cost cases, revenue potentials, enhanced customer experience and overall resilience and sustainability of Telco production.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to explore AI advancements for improved efficiency, automation, and customer experience to ensure maximum scale across DT group.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in AI, data architecture, and telecommunications.
  • Proven expertise in designing AI-driven solutions, particularly for telecom networks.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience running solution teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, BI, big data technologies, Data Management, Data Mesh, Data Modelling Techniques, and their applications in the network domain.
  • Proven experience in building solution architecture teams across domains dealing with data and AI business demands in network operation domains (RAN, Core, Transport, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of telecom network architecture (e.g., 5G, SDN, NFV, IMS) and OSS/BSS systems.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native architecture, containerization, and edge computing technologies for telecom applications.
  • Proven experience in Application Management and Network Operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and innovation-driven mindset
  • Monitor and engage with external developments in academia, research & analysis, vendors, start-ups, competitors, and standard development organizations (SDOs) to ensure the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
  • English Level B2, better C1.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks, and understanding of AI/ML Architecture principles.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, …).
  • Previous experience in international or multi-cultural environments, with the ability to work effectively across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
