Project description

The Strategic Optimization Mobile Access (SOMA) team works on optimizing Deutsche Telekom's mobile network for technology from Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia. The effects of features and requirements are examined and parameters are specified for implementing them.

Your tasks

RAN (Radio Access Network) Optimization of the Mobile Network (Deutsche Telekom)
RAN Optimization M2M (LTE NB-IoT, LTE-M, NR RedCap (future)
•    Performance analyses and tunings
•    Parametersettings and Configuration – Analyses of dependencies
•    Error analyses and corrections, incl. technical support 
•    Development of concepts/specifications for feature introduction and optimization
•    Support of pilot-activities (RAN-vendors: Ericsson, Huawei + Nokia)
•    Representative in international expert groups

Must to have skills: 
•    Several years of experience in the operation or optimization of mobile radio-networks 
•    Deep knowledge of the systematic of RAN-features and its parametrization
•    Knowledge of RAN technology from the supplier Nokia
•    Knowledge and application of agile tools and methods 
•    Knowledge of LTE-M and Narrowband IoT or willingness to “deep dive” (mostly by own activities) in a specific time

Nice to have skills: 
•    Knowledge of RAN-Tracing and pm-counting
