Mainframe Application Operation MSY-AO:

Skill Profile for JOB Scheduling and RUN Application Operations in a zOS environment.                            

Overview:

 

  • TWS, CONTROL-M, AJM, ZEKE Scheduling and monitoring of JOBs.
  • Puesta en producción nuevas aplicaciones, releases y evolutivos, via herramientas de "release Management" o similares.
  • JCLs management, restart programming and execution, usage of variables and other advanced JCL features.
  • Manage DB2 and CICS Operations - locate contentions, and run DB2 utilities when needed under instructions, manage CICS CEDF and CEDA to administrate applications resources.
  • Acknoledge main zOS subsystems and tools, RACF, HSM, SMS, JES2, SDSF, TSO, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, WAS

Qualifications

Probed Experience and Skills to perform next one detailed task:[JCJ1]                                 

  • Scheduler Admin to plan and run in a optimize way the Applications JOBs:   
    • Calendar Maintenance.
    • Plan following functional and business requirements.
    • Advanced JOB tracking and Recovery.
    • Support Integrations of Applications with external and internal Subsystems.
    • Advanced Run DBDC utilities following technical instructions.
  • Maintain, develop Methods and Tools for Application Operations.
  • Put in production in and optimize way: 
    • New Applicaitons. 
    • New Release Applications. 
    • New Applications Evolutions.                                
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Incident, Problem, Change Management.                                                                        
  • Audit issues remediation.         

Additional requirements:

  • Office Hours Shift.
  • Availability to support On Call of Duty Shifts
  • Availability to support activities out of office hours
