Skill Profile for CICS DC Mainframe System Administrator.                               

Overview:

• Skills for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Mainframe related CICS Systems.
• Skills to perform CICS Admin tasks supporting Application Changes from CICS point of view.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position with equivalent responsibility, and desirable up to 10000 hours performing different Mainframe Technical positions.   
• Good Knowledge of CICS system architecture and of CICS related SW (admin tools, monitors, development tools, explorer, etc.).

Probed Experience and Skills to perform next one detailed task:                         

• Installation / configuration CICS/MQ DC Instances:
  • Installation and configuration of CICS/MQ instance
  • Setting up of backups for system files of the CICS/MQ instance
  • Integration of the CICS/MQ instance into the system monitoring
  • Integration of the CICS/MQ instance into the z/OS system automation
  • Integration of the CICS/MQ instance into the standard reporting (CICS Instance Availability)
  • Setting up the CICS/MQ basic system security (DC-internal/-external (e.g.: RACF, TSS))
• Maintain, develop Methods and Tools for Operations.
• Support to maintain the Administration of CICS Basis Security.
• CICS System Administration (Creation, Update, deletion System Objects in CICS instances: Transactions, Programs, Groups, LU-IP Conn definitions, interfaces with other DBDC subsystems, others ).
• MQ System Administration(Creation, Update, deletion System Objects in MQ instances: PAGE SETS, Buffer POOLs, LOGs Data Sets, MQ Channels, IP environment, , Groups, Conn definitions, interfaces with other DBDC subsystems, others ).
• CICS/MQ System Programming, configuration of CICS/MQ Parameters.
• Support for CICS/MQ and related CICS/MQ SW Procurement.
• Path Management, development migration Concepts, Version and Release Upgrades.
• Prevention and Tuning (maintenance, system tuning, manage 3rd Level Support).
• Support development of System Automation and Monitoring procedures.
• Support administration and execution of the Standard Reporting.
• Ensuring Data Consistency of All System Files.
• Execution of backup of all System Data (CSD).                                  
• Troubleshooting.
