Job Description
Role Summary
The ESX Administrator L2 is responsible for operating and supporting ESX hypervisors across small and medium-sized environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and the flexibility to work across multiple customer environments. The administrator must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, teamwork, and willingness to expand and share knowledge within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and manage ESX hypervisors in small and medium-scale environments.
Support and troubleshoot complex situations within the managed customer environments.
Respond to incidents with an appropriate sense of urgency, ensuring timely resolution.
Switch context efficiently between multiple customer environments several times a day.
Collaborate closely with team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Produce and maintain documentation related to operations and configurations.
Ensure compliance with customer and organizational operational standards.
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience operating ESX hypervisors in small and medium-sized infrastructures.
Mandatory: Hands-on experience with vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
Certified knowledge of VMware VCF package (expert level) including:
vSphere
(Optional) vSAN
NSX
Aria Suite
Good understanding of VMware ecosystem and related operational tools.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues within the ESX/VCF landscape.
Soft Skills
Strong sense of urgency in incident handling.
Ability to manage and switch between multiple customer environments effectively.
Good teamwork, collaboration, and willingness to extend and share knowledge.
Strong communication skills in English.
