Job Description
About the Role:
As Squad Lead for our MCOS (Managed Cloud OS) platform, you ensure seamless collaboration between the development team and key roles such as the Offering Manager, Technical Product Owner, and Support. You are responsible for operationalizing the product vision, enabling your team to deliver high-quality features and support, and translating requirements from business and technical stakeholders into effective outcomes. You help remove obstacles, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure the squad can consistently deliver value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary facilitator and coordinator within the squad, ensuring alignment and smooth communication between development, product, offering, and support functions
- Translate requirements from Product Owners, Offering Managers, and technical leads into actionable tasks and clear team priorities
- Being part of Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support continuous improvement within the team
- Monitor squad progress, track delivery commitments, and proactively address roadblocks or dependencies
- Monitor the growth and performance of the MCOS platform, identify trends, and provide input to stakeholders for continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate with product and financial stakeholders to ensure that budget, cost efficiency, and financial targets related to product growth are tracked and met.
- Oversee and support the customer onboarding process, working closely with support and delivery teams to guarantee a seamless, positive experience for new customers.

- Promote operational excellence, including adherence to security, quality, and compliance standards
- Communicate transparently about status, risks, and issues to all relevant stakeholders
- Act as a point of escalation and resolution for day-to-day operational challenges within the squad
- Ensure that customer needs and operational realities are considered in all squad deliverables
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in onboarding and service delivery, ensuring high customer satisfaction and smooth transitions into the MCOS platform.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical team leadership or coordination role, ideally in a product/platform development context
- Strong background in facilitating collaboration between technical and business stakeholders
- Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise managed services is an advantage
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and team organization best practices
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive results
- High level of accountability, reliability, and team orientation
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
Technical skills:
Cloud & Platform Skills
- Kubernetes (K8s) – cluster orchestration and lifecycle management
- OpenShift / Rancher – managed Kubernetes platforms
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – for provisioning infrastructure
- CI/CD Pipelines – GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD
- Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) – OS-level troubleshooting and operations
- Ansible / Configuration Management – automation of cloud and OS tasks
DevOps & Automation
- Monitoring/Observability – Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry
- Scripting – Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks
- GitOps principles – declarative infrastructure management via Git
- Helm – packaging and managing Kubernetes applications
- Service Mesh – Istio or Linkerd (for platform-level control)
Cloud Provider & Hosting Knowledge
- VMware vSphere / NSX-T – if working with hybrid platforms
- Azure / AWS / GCP – cloud integration, especially around IaaS/PaaS offerings
- Managed Hosting platforms – knowledge of managed OS delivery (MCOS context)
Security & Compliance
- OS Hardening / CIS Benchmarks
- Security Scanning Tools – e.g., Trivy, Aqua, Qualys
- ISO 27001 / GDPR / ITIL familiarity – for compliance-aware operations
Process & Tooling
- JIRA / Confluence – Agile planning and documentation
- SAFe / Scrum / Kanban – working knowledge for Agile scaling
