POSITION PURPOSE: This position is in support of the VWGoA Network and Telecom Infrastructures. The Engineer will support and create automated processes that will ensure that the environment is kept up to date and operating more efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate patching/upgrade activities for critical VWGoA Network and Telecom components in an automated fashion using ansible. Provide L4 support to resolve VWGoA incidents in support of the their infrastructure Perform analysis of VWGoA infrastructure environment and resolve issues/problems accordingly Participate in technical projects involving server, storage, telecommunications and network Evaluate vendor requirements and provide recommendations primarily Cisco, F5, Infoblox, Riverbed, Avaya, Audiocodes Respond to service requests from VWGoA support groups, vendors and suppliers Maintain documentation of VWGoA environments Support during the weekend when required for all locations for any issues requiring VWGoA support on-call rotation Ability to engage team members and coordinate activates and goals Maintain the integrity of the VWGoA in accordance with policy and best practices The ability to direct the work of others, while assisting them The demonstrated ability to design and layout Network and Telecom infrastructure Knowledge of the following technologies: o Cisco switches routers o Automation using Ansible, o scripting experience – Examples: Python, Powershell, TCL, Perl o Cisco Telepresence o Avaya Aura o Cisco ISE NAC o Cisco Wireless o NetScout o F5 Load Balancers o Infoblox DDI o Riverbed The ability and initiative to counsel with upper management on project design and best practice recommendations OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate team status, task accomplishments and possible issues as they arise. Have experience in operations environment. Have at least seven years experience in above skill set Regular, predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Lead the team to toward Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Analytics QUALIFICATIONS: 7-10 years experience in Network/Telecom Infrastructure. Efficient in scripting Ability to deploy a patch management systems using scripting tools for Network and Telecom. Ability to self direct and work independently as required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Technical and Non-Technical Extremely Detail Oriented individual with the ability to multi task Positive mental attitude, solution architect, team builder Effective communications in English. EDUCATION: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience in the Industry.
