EMC Technician

Job Description:
Experienced EMC technician is required having experience with test & measurement equipment in EMC or electronics field.
Responsibility:
• Perform various types of EMC tests in accordance with product specifications and EMC test requirements.
• Setting up and monitoring complex RF test equipment, taking measurements; recording and analyzing acquired data, reviewing test procedures, clearly documenting test results, maintaining accurate and precise test logs.
• Assist Product Validation and Development Engineering with test setups and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Position also requires limited soldering PCB components and wires, building cable assemblies and moving heavy test equipment and test fixtures for test set up and tear down.
Requirements:
• Solid working understanding of basic electronics.
• Experience with test & measurement equipment in EMC or electronics field.
• Candidate should be able to prioritize tasks effectively and handle various tasks at the same time.
• Must be "team oriented" with the ability to communicate and to precisely execute both written and verbal instructions.
• Flexibility to work alternate and weekend shifts. (Position initially to start as first shift, normal work week, but may transition to alternate shift.)
• Basic computer skills required: MS Windows, Word and Excel.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• 2 years direct experience with EMC test & measurement equipment including basic RF electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
• Knowledge and experience with automotive component validation testing.
• Knowledge and experience with OEM test specifications
