Job Description:
Experienced Defect Engineer Semiconductors is required having Responsibility to drive deployment and qualification of additional dark field and bright field tools. Support evaluation and implementation new defect analysis software.
Required Skills:
• 3-5 + years experience in semiconductor defect reduction and yield improvement
• Experience leading a direct group of engineering professionals a plus
• BS degree is required with Electrical, Chemical or Physics preferred
• Experience on AIT1, AITXP, ComPlus 3T, Tencor 7700, August NSX95/100, KLA Candela tools
• A solid working knowledge of device physics and process integration
• Six-sigma training (black or green belt), and/or lean manufacturing certification is a plus.
• SPC/DoE methodology essential
• Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs, deadlines and commitments
• Proven leadership and positive execution in semiconductor technology development, product/yield engineering and/or materials analysis technologies.
Responsibility:
• Work cross-functionally with unit process modules to ensure tool and process based defectivity is monitored and driven down to exceed the Fab’s overall defect density reduction goals.
• Develop defect reduction initiatives with action plans. Deploy monitoring strategies to optimize detection and cycle time.
• Drive deployment and qualification of additional dark field and bright field tools. Support evaluation and implementation new defect analysis software.
• The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with the Device/Product Engineering teams to monitor and trend defects associated with the process and products running in production.
• The focus will be on defectivity improvement efforts in order to maximize product yields.
