Fleet Compliance Coordinator

  • Full-time
  • Department: Supply Chain and Operations (Central Supporting Roles)

Job Description

Job Description:

Sysco GB (whose UK operating companies include Brakes, Fresh Direct, KFF & Medina) is looking for a Fleet Compliance Coordinator to become a key part of our dynamic Fleet Compliance team. This is a full time permanent position.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding our Operator’s Licence and ensuring full adherence to DVSA Earned Recognition standards.

As a Fleet Compliance Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Head of Fleet Compliance, Fleet Compliance Business Partners, and all Sysco GB organisations to maintain the highest standards of driver and vehicle compliance. Your work will directly impact the safety, reliability, and reputation of our fleet operations.

While the position is primarily home‑based, you will be flexible to travel occasionally, including overnight stays, when required.

Fleet Compliance Coordinator – Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Operator’s Licence compliance, supporting the Head of Fleet and Fleet Compliance Business Partners.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate compliance reports (Working Time Directive, tachograph infringements, safety inspections, MOT, mileage, KPIs).
  • Maintain and cleanse compliance platforms (driver/fleet maintenance and Davis Driver Licence systems).
  • Produce monthly performance and mileage reports, ensuring accuracy for European KPIs and MPR reviews.
  • Support audits: supply KPI data, liaise with depots, monitor corrective actions, and review depot performance metrics.
  • Regularly review Operator Licences and depot vehicle allocations to prevent breaches or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Engineering and lead departmental projects or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Prepare Letters of Intent for maintenance agreements and manage departmental supplier invoices.
  • Act as primary contact for DVSA/Traffic Commissioner, handle communications, and support major incident investigations.
  • Represent Fleet Compliance in meetings, publish policy/process updates, attend depot audits, and maintain the Vehicle Operator Licence portal.

About you:
This role is ideal for someone who is highly self‑motivated, proactive, and detail‑oriented, with strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel (i.e creating reports from CSV files) and Word. You will be confident in prioritising tasks to meet strict reporting deadlines, delivering accurate and high‑quality outputs under pressure. An innovative thinker, you will develop new ideas and reports that support departmental objectives while maintaining best‑in‑class compliance standards. Collaboration is key, and you will be skilled at engaging and supporting multiple stakeholders across the business.

You will thrive in challenging environments, demonstrate initiative, and seek opportunities for professional growth, including working towards a Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence. A commitment to continuous improvement and excellence will drive your contribution to a forward‑thinking team.
