- Ensure the accurate and timely closure of remediation actions arising from identified control deficiencies.
- Assess emerging risks identified by the business or countries—including geopolitical, environmental and technology-related risks—and support the development of appropriate mitigating actions.
- Support the function-level Risk Assessment Framework and ensure key financial compliance risks are appropriately considered.
2. Strategic Business Partnership and Compliance by Design
- Collaborate with Business Partners, tower heads, global leaders and other functional stakeholders on ICF, external audit observations and other material compliance matters.
- Facilitate the exchange of new ideas, leading practices and relevant benchmarks to improve the control environment.
- Promote “Compliance by Design” for new systems, process changes and automation initiatives.
- Assess risks arising from significant process or system changes through the SPD process and evaluate whether proposed controls adequately mitigate those risks before implementation.
3. Continuous Monitoring and Insight
- Use data-driven continuous risk monitoring, including the Risk Dashboard where feasible, to identify emerging, suspicious or non-compliant trends.
- Translate monitoring insights into clear, practical actions and constructively challenge and influence stakeholders to address identified risks.
4. Global Governance and Standardisation
- Identify country-level variations in processes and controls.
- Drive global control benchmarking and standardisation across countries where practical, while respecting local requirements.
- Ensure that local variations continue to mitigate the relevant risk and meet the intended control objective.
5. Compliance Awareness
- Support the development and delivery of ICF training and compliance-awareness activities for relevant stakeholders.
