Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta’s Accouting to Reporting team is seeking a Accouting to Reporting Coordinator for 9 months in Montevideo, Uruguay. This role is part of the Accounting to Reporting team, primarily supporting group reporting, month-end closing activities, and driving process improvements.

Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for IFRS group reporting and month end close orchestration, assuring correctness, timely submission, and proper substantiation of financial reporting submissions in line with the Syngenta Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for AICO month-end closing module.
  • Responsible for Banking Process.
  • Collaborate with the GFO team to ensure data quality and output are reliable.
  • Ensure support IFRS / Statutory audits and Financial Statements preparations.
  • Expected to deliver quality result in fast changing business environment.
  • Ensure effective and sustainable implementation of ICF Controls compliance related to the stream.
  • Develop a KPI mindset across the team, to identify improvement and efficiencies opportunities.
  • Drive a continuous improvement capability across the team always searching for new efficiencies, mainly accelerating automation and AI usage.
  • Collaborate with other Finance Operations Areas and cross regionally with Accounting to Reporting, participating in active and future cross functional/regional initiatives.
  • Promote compliance culture through training and other relevant initiatives across the regional finance organization.
  • Promote the Process and Accouting to Reporting team spirit.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Degree from Accounting, Administration, Finance careers.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
  • 5-7 years experience in Finance, Costing, Accounting, or finance related positions.
  • Good knowledge of month-end closing processes and systems - mainly CFIN, ICMR and SBFC.
  • Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Self-starter with minimum training/hand over.
  • Relevant experience in Leading People.
  • Ability to influence and challenge others outside of the job’s direct span of control.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Portuguese is highly appreciated.
  • Experience with SAP.
