Job Description
At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Marketing Team is seeking a Seedcare & Biologicals Institute Lead Meso America in Guadalajara.
Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute Guadalajara SCBI's short and long-term strategy aligned with business objectives MESO and LATAM.
- Lead the SCBI team and manage site operations for product launches and customer support.
- Implement the digital transformation strategy for Seedcare and Biologicals services.
- Drive innovation in service delivery and technical support mechanisms.
Technical Excellence
- Prepare for local, new seed treatment and biological product introductions, engaging with development project team and global SCBI to manage testing.
- Oversee recipe development and seed safety testing programs.
- Provide technical guidance on new active ingredients and product enhancements.
- Support regulatory requirements and compliance for new product registrations.
Commercial Development
- Lead customer visits, training and showcasing events.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop value propositions.
- Support account managers in customer engagement and training programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the seed industry.
- Drive adoption of new technologies through demonstration and knowledge transfer.
Operational Management
- Collaborate with the commercial team the customer visits.
- Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with quality standards.
- Manage facility resources and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate with global network for best practice sharing.
- Supervise technical staff and maintain performance standards.
- Manage the SCBI resources and Budget.
- Lead a team of technicians.
Qualifications
Required
- BSc in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Engineering.
- Technical expertise in seed treatment and biological products.
- 5+ years experience in agriculture industry.
- Proven track record in seed treatment technology.
- Project management and team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of agriculture market, CP and Biologicals.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
