Syngenta's Finance Team is seeking a Finance Intern in Greensboro, NC. This role will physically work in the Greensboro office throughout the summer, collaborating and networking face-to-face with Finance colleagues.
As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.
Estimated Duration: Late May 2027 – Early August 2027
Accountabilities:
- Gain insight into a vital and exciting industry.
- Work on a wide range of activities that could comprise financial reporting, marketing reviews, supply chain analysis, assisting with month-end close processes, budgeting, compliance activities, process improvement and automation, and data analytics.
- Gain valuable global experiences through international working relationships.
- Opportunities to learn various platforms (SAP, SAP Cloud Analytics, Qlik, Excel, etc.).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university in Business Management, Finance, or another closely related field of study.
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience interacting with novel technologies in data analytics, e.g., predictive/cognitive AI and machine learning (desired).
What You Might Also Contribute to the Team:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Critical thinker with demonstrated business acumen and leadership aptitude.
- Ability to work well with ambiguous or undefined problems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to develop a network of people to help resolve complex finance issues.
- Good project management skills.
Additional Information
Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
