Job Description
As a Global Co-Formulant Chemistry Expert, you will manage co-formulants to facilitate regulatory compliance and enable supply chain risk and cost reduction ambitions. You will support the regulatory alignment of regional and global product registrations, and enable strategies that support supply chain freedom to operate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve, extract, and review chemical and hazard information to determine the equivalence of chemicals, ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Maintain co-formulant information in regulatory databases.
- Draft science-based documentation to support regulatory submissions.
- Align global ways of working and promote the strategic value of chemistry data.
- Support the development of innovative digital solutions in information and data management.
- Interpret regulations and guidance, translating them into requirements on co-formulants to maintain compliance.
- Acquire, assess, and profile different data sources to support business and data strategy.
- Scope, prepare, and deliver regulatory notifications and documentation consistent with compliance and company standards.
- Support risk mitigation, cost reduction, safety, and compliance, and respond to regulatory challenges by developing innovative approaches.
- Support Regulatory, Product Chemistry, and Production & Supply teams globally.
Qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree in Chemistry.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a regulatory environment (e.g. Product Chemistry, Product Registration or similar).
- Experience with REACH, CLP, Classification, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Knowledge of global product registration requirements (preferably crop protection) and regulatory chemistry issues.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience with chemical data/metadata management principles and platforms (including data quality, data governance, data catalogue, master and reference data).
- Experience in formulation chemistry, supply chain, or procurement processes is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills across functional and geographic boundaries with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of an additional language is an asset.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with a strong focus on standards, compliance and data quality.
- A collaborative team player who is flexible, culturally aware, and open to challenging accepted ways of working.
