Job Description

  • Preparing genetic purity and seed health sample plan for resources based on production plan.
  • Managing overall lab operations of genetic purity and seed health testing & delivering the set KPI’s as per the target.
  • Coordinate with external lab for sample submission.
  • Analyze the test data & report to stakeholders.
  • Timely completion of testing activities.
    • Report the relevant testing KPI’s as per the set targets.
    • Share & highlights the issues from the SNP and seed health test through monthly report with team.
    • Review SOP’s related to genetic purity and seed health testing periodically.
    • Effectively collaborate with global test development teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of new test methods.
    • Identify the training needs of the team including 3rd party staff (NFTE) and arrange appropriate training. Ensure succession plan & team development.
    • Support customer complaints from QC perspective.
    • Responsible for enforcing and regulating HSE in workplaces.
  • Support vendor management, purchasing and payment process coordination.
  • Align with QMS of ISO17025:2017 and support in part of internal auditor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Seed Technology, Biology, Microbiology, or a related agricultural science field.
  • Proficient in standard seed testing methodology.
  • Skilled in physiological testing, genetic purity testing or seed health testing and experience in operating specialized seed laboratory instruments.
  • Data management software (e.g., Microsoft Office / Outlook or SAP) is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with standards ISTA or AOSA.
  • Certified or experienced as an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and internal auditor within a laboratory would be a great advantage.
  • Basic user with SAP Module
  • Seed Quality Testing knowledge
