Job Description
We're looking for a Regulatory Specialist to manage the regulatory lifecycle for our Crop Protection portfolio across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Reporting to the Head of CP Regulatory UK & Ireland, you'll be the go-to person for submissions, compliance, and regulatory data - working closely with authorities, regional teams, and commercial colleagues.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
Submissions & Registrations
- Prepare and submit regulatory packages to UK CRD/HSE and Irish DAFM/PCS - covering new products, label extensions, mutual recognitions, EAMUs and renewals applications
- Follow up on PPP processes (new registrations, re-approvals, minor registrations)
- Support supply chain regulatory needs including non significant formulation change submissions, new AI source registrations, formulation site changes, and packaging approvals
Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate label artwork peer reviews and label text production
- Manage SDS updates, PCN/UFI notifications, and digital label maintenance
- Handle co-formulant and packaging change submissions
Stakeholder & Data Management
- Build and maintain professional relationships with UK and Irish regulatory authorities
- Communicate with regional teams during product evaluations
- Maintain document storage, data accuracy in Veeva Vault, and support AgriGuide updates for GB, NI, and Ireland
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support Portfolio Teams through active engagement with technical, marketing, and sales functions
- Contribute to competitor portfolio analysis and respond to regulatory queries from commercial teams
Qualifications and required experience:
- Background in registration procedures within crop protection or a related industry
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and official bodies
- Experience with product labelling, SDS management, and regulatory compliance processes (desirable)
- Familiarity with country-specific regulatory legislation and processes
- Experience using and maintaining regulatory databases
Education & Skills
- Degree in Science, Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline
- High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines simultaneously
- Confident communicating across all levels - from authority officials to internal commercial teams
- Proficient in English with knowledge of regulatory terminology
- Strong MS Office skills; comfortable learning new regulatory IT systems
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team
