We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to implement the technical vision and the complex technology solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will architect, design, or develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems. This role involves providing technical leadership, collaborating with the engineering team, and cross-functional teams on product strategy and roadmap planning. If you are a seasoned professional with expertise in Python, JavaScript frameworks, specifically React, Java, SQL/NoSQL, cloud technologies, data lake/warehouse technologies, such as Snowflake, agentic/generative AI development, and DevSecOps, we invite you to join our remote work environment and contribute to the advancement of seeds research and development in agriculture technology.

In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders and technical partners to design and implement cutting-edge software solutions that support the business. You will be responsible for evolving our long-term roadmap of projects, defining tech stack & operational strategies. You will provide technical prowess, drive software engineering initiatives, and build end-to-end data solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. You will work with a wide range of technologies (e.g., Python, React, Java, SQL/NoSQL, AWS, etc.) and stay abreast of emerging technologies, investigating and implementing them where appropriate. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, or developing the technology components that scale for the ever-evolving data needs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the implementation of complex technology solutions.
• Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems.
• Provide technical vision  and collaborate with the engineering team.
• Cooperate with cross-functional teams on product strategy and roadmap planning.
• Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and code reviews.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of design, and development experience experience.
• Expertise in Python, TypeScript, React, Java, cloud, SQL/NoSQL, and data lake/warehouse, such as Snowflake
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with generative AI, agentic development, machine learning products is preferred
• Skilled in containerization and microservices
• Strong understanding of software security and data protection.
• Team player with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
