To support this mission, Syngenta’s Finance Operations team is seeking a Corporate Treasury Senior Analyst in Montevideo, Uruguay. This role serves as a key control and analytical link between front office trading/dealing activities and back office settlement and accounting. The role is responsible for monitoring and validating treasury transactions - including FX, intercompany loans, and hedging instruments - ensuring accuracy, compliance with treasury policies, and timely mark-to-market (MTM) and exposure reporting.The analyst supports risk management by maintaining position data, reconciling trade confirmations, and providing actionable insights on FX exposure, hedging costs, and unrealized gains/losses. Working closely with Treasury Operations, Finance, and external counterparties, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting decision-making across the Americas region.

Accountabilities 

  • Committed FX Exposure Identification – Prepare daily/weekly/monthly exposure for all entities in the Americas by collecting information from different areas (A2R, I2P, O2C, Tax, Business Finance) and analysing the net position to propose effective hedge actions. Understanding and explaining changes in the exposure to support hedge decision. Ensure hedge results are booked as per Group Treasury policies.
  • Commodity Exposure Identification – Daily identification of new customer orders and request or hedge unwind from broker.
  • Treasury Accounting – Month End Close activities and ad hoc postings (cash investments, loans etc.).
  • The analyst will be responsible for conducting analysis and preparing reports related to the company's FX positions, supporting treasury risk management and decision-making processes across the regionProvide and continuously improve the analysis and monthly reporting delivered to the regions and Group Treasury.
  • Audit – Participation in Treasury related to internal & external audit requests, continuous improvement in WoW and ensuring all controls are well documented and clear explanations given.
  • Support key Middle Office Treasury projects such as automating Exposure Committed Identification based on robust accounting knowledge and SAP-HANA experience.

Qualifications

Required  

  • Relevant degree in Finance and/or background of working in a multinational Finance team.
  • Minimum 3-years experience in a Treasury or Accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP-HANA/CFIN. (desirable)
  • Advance English. (mandatory)
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and to work in connection with remote and multicultural teams/stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of Treasury end-to-end processes and internal controls/programs necessary to safeguard the Company’s assets.
  • Learning agility, continuous improvement mindset.
