Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Logistics Team is seeking a Logistics Specialist Import in Greensboro, NC. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance and management of Research and Development import samples, as well as supporting the Customs Lead with reconciliation and global import operations, as needed.

Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (Syngenta Research and Development scientists, the Syngenta Trade Compliance team, and the Environmental Protection Agency).
  • Manage Research and Development import samples.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts, procedures, and projects.
  • Assist with audit imports and monthly ACH duty payments, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Logistics preferred, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in imports.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication and forward-thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop a cohesive set of relationships across the organization and with third parties to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to assist with sound business improvements.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility and capacity for change.
