Senior Tech Recruiter - for NA and Europe
- Full-time
Company Description
🗺️ What's it like to be part of Syngenta?
Syngenta is a global leader in agricultural innovation, with operations in more than 90 countries. Our mission is to empower farmers with advanced technologies and practices that enable them to feed a growing world population while preserving the planet for future generations. Our pioneering scientific discoveries deliver superior benefits to farmers and society at an unprecedented scale. Guided by our Sustainability Priorities, we continuously develop technologies and solutions that help producers grow healthier plants in revitalized soils, maximizing productivity. Syngenta is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, and has teams spread across the globe.
As you can imagine, within that mission, our technology teams play a central role — building digital, IT, data and AI solutions and products that bring this vision to life at scale. If you want to be at the forefront of ag-tech innovation, be part of an amazing global team, have real autonomy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where new ideas are genuinely welcome — you're in the right place. Fasten your seatbelt, your biggest contribution to the world starts here!
🕵️ So, what does it mean to be a Senior Tech Recruiter here?
At Syngenta, this role goes far beyond filling seats. It's about being the strategic bridge between exceptional people and opportunities that are transforming agriculture through cutting-edge technology — and doing that at a global scale.
You'll be the strategic talent partner to technology leaders across North America and Europe, deeply understanding their technical and business needs to help build high-performance tech teams. But you'll go beyond recruiting: you'll influence organizational design decisions, bring market intelligence before leaders even realize they need it, and challenge structures to achieve business goals.
Your portfolio will span engineering, AI and data, infrastructure, IT and product roles — and if you've recruited Data Scientists, Data Modelers, or digital R&D-adjacent engineers before, that's going to make a real difference here.
This role is for someone who loves to think strategically, influence, innovate, and — above all — connect great people with tech projects that make a real difference in the world.
📍 Location and work model
São Paulo (Brazil) or Montevideo (Uruguay), working on hybrid work model. We expect you to be 3 days in the office per week – if you are not comfortable with this, we kindly thank your interest but ask you not to proceed with your application.
You will be in one of our main hubs and your scope is genuinely global — North America and Europe tech positions. That means you need to be comfortable with diverse cultural dynamics, multiple time zones and the complexity of recruiting in highly competitive markets without being physically present in them.
It's a real challenge with a huge impact. And that's exactly what makes it so exciting!
Job Description
👩💻 Let's break it down into what you'll actually do:
>Recruiting & Execution
- Lead end-to-end hiring processes for technology roles across North America and Europe — Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Modeling, AI Tech Leads, DevOps, Cloud, Product Management, Product Design, and more — from profile mapping to offer acceptance.
- Design and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract passive talent in highly competitive markets, leveraging multiple channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, tech and R&D communities, conferences, research networks, etc.).
- Build and nurture talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles, including diversity pipelines and highly specialized profiles.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience at every stage — regardless of outcome.
>Talent Partnership & Strategic Advisory
- Act as a strategic consultant to hiring managers and senior tech leaders — not just giving tips, we expect you to challenge and conduct hard conversations when needed, acting as a real partner for them to achieve business goals.
- Influence workforce planning cycles and advise on organizational design— not just react to open roles.
- Proactively deliver market intelligence: compensation benchmarking, talent availability, competitor hiring movements, and sourcing landscape across NA and European markets.
- Navigate confidently and credibly in conversations with Tech Leads, Heads, and C-level stakeholders.
>Data, Innovation & Mentorship
- Track and report on recruiting metrics and KPIs, and continuously propose data-driven improvements.
- Drive process improvements that bring innovation, automation, and a differentiated experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Mentor other recruiters on the team and foster teamwork, sharing best practices and raising the overall maturity of the TA function.
>Employer Branding & Community
- Strengthen our tech employer brand in the markets you cover — being a true guardian of our culture and employer value proposition.
- Engage with tech events, communities, and networks; collaborate with the EB team to position Syngenta as a destination for global tech talent.
Qualifications
🌱 What you need to bring to do this well
>Must-Haves:
- Solid experience in tech recruiting operating in a talent partner model — with a proven track record of strategic influence, not just operational execution.
- Great verbal and written communication skills in English (advanced) — this is the language of your day-to-day in this role and will be assessed during the hiring process.
- Strong knowledge of the tech landscape (programming languages, stacks, frameworks, career paths, methodologies, etc.) — you don't need to code, but you need to speak the language and genuinely enjoy diving into this world.
- Experience recruiting tech talent in an international context, ideally with direct exposure to North American and/or European markets.
- Consultative mindset with strong communication, partnership and influence skills across all levels — from first-time managers to C-level, from HRBP to peers and team members.
- Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to produce and deliver structured, actionable market intelligence to stakeholders.
- Autonomy and proactive — you'll have a lot of freedom to test, fail, and learn. The sense of ownership here is real and, as a senior talent partner, we expect you to propose, conduct and put rhythm on initiatives.
- Resilience and adaptability — the pace is fast and that's exactly how we like it.
>What Sets You Apart (the extra mile we will love to see):
- Experience recruiting digital R&D profiles — Data Scientists, Data Modelers, AI Engineers, or similar — you understand what makes these profiles uniquely challenging to attract, assess, and close.
- Experience with workforce planning or org design.
Additional Information
🌈 Diversity and Inclusion really matter for us
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. We know sometimes the challenge seems too big when you are from a diverse group, but please be sure of your value and empowered to try if in your perception you match at least 75% of the requirements – research says diversity group representatives tend to reduce their accomplishments and don't apply when there is no 100% match between the job post and their self-evaluation. This is not to say we will reduce the requirements; this is to say that diverse people often have a diminished perception of their own achievements. They may have a huge impact on previous experiences and a proven track record, but don't recognize it. We do. We are an evidence-based company. And we are rooting for you.
