Job Description
The Field Marketing Executive (FME) is responsible for frontline execution of field marketing activities that build grower awareness, education, and preference for Syngenta corn hybrids.
The role focuses on on-the-ground delivery of campaigns, demonstrations, events, and grower engagement, working closely with Sales teams to support Product-on-Ground (POG) enablement. The FME acts as the primary interface with Field Marketing Promoters (FMPs), ensuring effective daily execution and acting as a multiplier for demand creation under the new Corn BU operating model.
Field Campaign Execution
- Execute field marketing campaigns in line with approved plans, standards, and timelines.
- Deliver high-quality field demos, FITs, grower meetings, caravans, and education sessions.
- Ensure activities are relevant, timely, and aligned with local crop calendars and priorities.
Grower Engagement & Education
- Engage directly with growers to explain product benefits, agronomic practices, and trial results.
- Support grower understanding, confidence, and preference through structured education activities.
- Build positive grower experience that supports downstream sales and repeat purchase.
FMP Coordination & Field Multiplication
- Work tightly and directly with Field Marketing Promoters (FMPs) deployed as third-party, non-FTE service providers.
- Translate FMM plans into daily and weekly execution activities for FMPs.
- Guide FMPs on activity focus, messaging, and execution priorities (without direct people supervision).
- Monitor activity completion and quality and provide feedback to FMM.
Push–Pull–Proof Support
- Coordinate closely with TSEs and ZSMs to align field marketing activities with sales and POG priorities.
- Support Agronomy & Technical Services (ATS) during demos, trials, and issue resolution.
- Ensure marketing execution reinforces product proof and field credibility.
Channel Inventory Visibility & Field Feedback
- Observe and report distributor, retailer, and POG inventory situations encountered during field activities.
- Flag inventory mismatches, stock-outs, or overstock situations that may impact campaign effectiveness or grower confidence.
- Provide timely field feedback to FMM and Sales teams.
Competitor & Market Intelligence
- Capture on-the-ground competitor intelligence during field execution.
- Observe and report competitor campaign presence, demo activity, grower messaging, pricing signals, and perceived strengths or gaps.
- Provide structured field insights to support campaign refinement and competitive response.
Execution Reporting & Discipline
- Maintain accurate records of activities executed, grower engagements, and FMP-supported actions.
- Submit timely and accurate execution reports in line with agreed formats and cadence.
- Comply with brand, safety, and commercial standards at all times.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field
Experience
- 2–4 years experience in field marketing, sales support, or agribusiness field roles
- Experience working directly with growers and field teams preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong field execution and coordination capability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Practical understanding of grower needs and field realities
- Ability to work with third-party service providers without direct authority
- Disciplined reporting and execution habits
- High field orientation and willingness to travel extensively
