Job Description

You will be part of our European VAT Team, which is responsible for the end-to-end indirect tax compliance and strategy in the EAME region.

  • Advise on EU and regional VAT regulations
  • Advise on tax code usage for complex cases
  • Support end-to-end VAT compliance activities
  • Review of returns (on demand, complex/high risk returns for a given period of time)
  • Support the local businesses and other finance departments in complex VAT related matters
  • Manage new VAT registrations and filing processes
  • Coordinate external service providers
  • Coordinate implementation of legal changes
  • On demand support of contacting Tax Authorities
  • Complex issue resolution/support and root cause analysis
  • Ensuring aged items are cleared
  • Drive continuous improvement, challenge status quo
  • Leading compliance projects
  • Understand and supervise digital tax solutions
  • Coordinate external/internal VAT audits
  • Provide team with SAP expertise and provide training to team
  • Onboard and support, train new joiners and mentor Junior/Senior Analysts
  • Participate in VAT compliance support projects of AME countries.

Qualifications

  • 4 - 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Legal or similar. Qualified Tax Advisor is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of European VAT and corresponding filing requirements;  
  • Fluent English;Strong Excel and data analytics skill set;
  • SAP or equivalent ERP hands on knowledge;
  • Good stakeholder management;
  • Understanding of accounting principles;
  • Familiar with working in a complex matrix and international environment;
  • Good understanding of end-to-end business processes;
  • Attention to detail and administrative tasks;
  • Positive self-starter willing to learn new skills and understand the business; 
  • Able and committed to meet deadlines and quality requirements;
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset;
  • Excellent team player with the motivation to drive and improve our Indirect Tax Operations.
