Job Description
At Syngenta, we're building the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture—delivering top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success worldwide. Our Digital Productivity and Innovation team is at the forefront of this mission, transforming how we operate through intelligent technology.
We're seeking a Digital Product Manager to shape the future of our supply chain through agentic AI—autonomous systems that can perceive, decide, and act. You'll be the architect of intelligent Product Lifecycle Management solutions that solve real-world operational challenges across our global network, directly impacting our ability to deliver critical crop protection products to farmers when and where they're needed most.
This isn't just product management—it's innovation with purpose.
What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership
- Drive Supply Chain innovation: Own the PLCM product vision and roadmap, identifying and prioritizing AI value cases that reduce waste, optimize inventory, and accelerate time-to-market. Your decisions will directly impact farmers' access to essential crop protection products.
- Define success & measure impact: Establish KPIs that measure business value, forecast accuracy, and model performance across diverse global regions. Ensure our AI solutions deliver measurable results.
- Champion the vision: Communicate product strategy, progress, and insights to stakeholders at all levels—from warehouse managers and production planners to executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Bridge business & technology: Partner with Supply Chain Leads, Operations teams, and Technology experts to translate complex business challenges into actionable AI/ML solutions. You're the connector between strategy and execution.
- Build user-centric products: Work closely with Business Analysts, UX designers, and end users to ensure AI outputs are intuitive, actionable, and generating value for the business.
- Enable technical teams: Provide clear requirements and context to Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists, ensuring they have what they need to build exceptional solutions.
Product Development & Delivery
- Bring AI to life: Oversee the end-to-end AI product lifecycle—transforming experimental models from pilot notebooks into robust, production-ready solutions that scale globally. Ensure seamless 'productization' of algorithms.
- Lead with Agile excellence: Manage product backlogs using Agile methodologies (Jira/Confluence), facilitate sprint ceremonies, and maintain momentum through iterative delivery cycles.
- Ensure responsible AI: Champion model governance by monitoring for bias, ensuring fairness across regions, maintaining performance standards, and upholding ethical AI practices.
Global Scaling & Innovation
- Scale intelligently across markets: Design and execute rollout strategies that adapt AI solutions for diverse markets—ensuring solutions built for Europe successfully serves the needs of Asian, African, US and Latin American operations.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously explore advancements in AI, ML, and automation specific to supply chain and production. Assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
- Innovate proactively: Don't wait to be asked—actively seek and propose opportunities to leverage AI, data and automation to solve problems, improve decision-making, and create competitive advantage.
You Will Thrive Here If
- You're passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems that matter—helping farmers feed the world
- You love bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution
- You're energized by global collaboration and the richness of diverse perspectives
- You think in systems and see the ripple effects of your decisions across the value chain
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and excel at bringing clarity to complex challenges
- You're curious, proactive, and always looking for the next opportunity to create value
