Job Description
Role purpose: Develop strategy and Shaping product portfolio for a given set of crops/geography to meet customer segment needs.
Key responsibilities of role:
- Developing product strategies for a given geography, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment with business goals,
- Define local Target Product Profile, leading product decisions including market positioning and overall product life cycle management including portfolio shape,
- Planning trials: define the standard varieties, trial seeds allocation and standard key traits for evaluation of the PLC 6 trials,
- Inputs Seed Production needs of PLC 5 to 6 & 6 to 7 for the territory,
- Consolidates CU or Territory Trial reports (PLC6) to support advancement decision and promotional activities,
- Define and drive New Product Introduction (NPI) strategy and Plans with the Customer Experience campaigns,
- Drive variety naming and activate registration / IP protecting including trials,
- Assess value traits & positioning, proposing pricing,
- Provide strategic inputs to RCL by maintaining an in-depth understanding of the changing market trends, values value chain needs including competitors landscape,
- Update customer needs and preferences, to support analysis of portfolio health, update of TPP and prioritize segments/target/market scope,
- Gives technical support to key producers, leverages technical knowledge to the sales team to prepare sales arguments and after sales support.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities:
1. Product Strategy Development: Experience in developing product strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
2. Product Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of defining market positioning and life cycle management.
3. Data Consolidation and Analysis: Experience in consolidating Trial reports to support advancement decisions and developing promotional activities.
4. New Product Introduction Strategy: Ability to define and drive NPI strategy including customer experience campaigns.
5. Market Analysis and Pricing: Experience in assessing value traits, market positioning, and proposing pricing strategies based on market trends and competitor analysis.
6. Customer Needs Analysis: Ability to update customer needs and preferences, support portfolio health analysis, and update Target Product Profiles.
