Job Description
We're looking for a Technical Sales Representative for Vegetable Seeds to join our dynamic sales team in East, Algeria. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to agricultural customers, combining in-depth product knowledge with consultative selling to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for promoting our comprehensive vegetable seed portfolio while providing technical guidance to farmers, distributors, and agricultural professionals throughout the region.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including farmers, agricultural cooperatives, distributors, and retailers in the East region and surrounding areas
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to educate customers on vegetable seed varieties, agronomic benefits, and crop management practices
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate seed solutions tailored to local growing conditions, market demands, and profitability objectives
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and technical documentation with precision and attention to detail
- Provide post-sale technical support, including troubleshooting crop performance issues and offering agronomic recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback using CRM systems and sales tools
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new sales opportunities and inform product positioning
- Collaborate with internal teams including product management, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment
- Organize and participate in agricultural events, trade shows, and farmer meetings to promote brand awareness and generate leads
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets while maintaining profitability and customer retention metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Biology, or a related field; or equivalent professional sales experience in the agricultural sector
- Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in technical sales, agricultural products, or seed industry
- Strong knowledge of vegetable seed varieties, crop science, and agronomic practices
- Demonstrated understanding of seed quality standards, germination rates, and regulatory compliance requirements in agriculture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to customer needs assessment
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken); French language skills are a plus
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the sales territory
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven with a customer-focused mindset
- Knowledge of local agricultural practices, climate conditions, and market dynamics in Algeria is highly desirable
