Job Description
Purpose
The Global Manufacturing Excellence Change Agent supports Manufacturing organization in diagnosing and transformation of production operations, embedding new ways of working and deliver breakthrough in production performance (develop and deploy new production management tools, processes and behaviours).
Accountabilities
- Perform “fast-track” diagnostic on specific area of expertise (Production performance, Maintenance, Cost management, Mindset & Behaviours) to identify opportunities for productivity increase, ways of working improvement and define tactical implementation plans.
- Direct training of manufacturing employees on standardized practices (Syngenta Production System) at shop floor and management level.
- Support local Manufacturing Excellence team in developing organization capability.
- Collaborate with functional experts to ensure that new capabilities are deployed (tools/processes/behaviours) and are codified in Syngenta Production System.
- Promotes a data-driven & objective approach to performance management.
- Perform targeted audits on Syngenta Production System. Issue recommendation for continuous improvement
- Coaching of leaders & operations management consulting
- Domestic, European & International travel to manufacturing sites expected – up to 50% depending on business need
Qualifications
- MS/BS in Industrial, Engineering or Chemical sciences, or a 5-year technical degree in related discipline.
- Significant experience working within a manufacturing site Production’s department (equivalent experience in site Maintenance, Engineering or Operational Excellence departments are also relevant for the role).
- Functional expertise in desired subject matter: Production performance, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Change Management.
- Proven track record in the application of project and program management methods.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and monitor multiple concurrent activities in order to meet ambitious timelines, influencing teams over which you have no line management accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. With ability to develop and structure clear arguments and translating insights in to business benefits
- Skilled in problem solving and critical thinking to identify solutions that address user needs.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience with data analytics packages or Python programming preferred.
- Ability to access and leverage manufacturing data, from SAP, Historian etc. to provide key insights
- Stakeholder Management: Strong influencing skills will be required to convince Site Leadership Team, Intermediate Management and other key stakeholders of the need for change.
Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, driving projects independently, and solving complex problems with minimal supervision
